Released: 2011
Director: Nicolas Winding Refn
Starring: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston
My first review on Film Club is somewhat of an unusual one, unusual in the sense that I am writing it after watching the movie in question for the second time. I first saw Drive a few months ago and despite everyone's hyping of it and my admiration for Ryan Gosling's acting chops, I wasn't overly impressed. In fact it's probably fair to say the empty handed feeling I was left with during the end credits left me pretty dissapointed. However after seing the flick first time round I predicted that it's probably a movie I would like better upon my second viewing. Well what do you knowI I only went and enjoyed it considerably more on my second lap of the circuit.
